Footage: Oregon Open 08
Music: ”Fortitude” by TJ Brodeur. Impressive effort by all the competitors, Anthony, TJ, Donald and James. I was proud of each of their performances. Every one had a submission, and each represented the Academy with skills, sportsmanship, and integrity. I love the way they look for the finish! James finished his opponent with a triangle, but we weren’t able to catch it on film. Next time. Special thanks to Rick, JC, and Susan for supporting the process.
TJ took Silver, and Donald received Gold after having to run his bracket twice. He earned it the old fashioned way: with heart and technique. Each of the competitors will also receive a DVD of their matches so they can review the footage and continue to grow. Bravo!!!

Thanks to all those who supported me and our team to prepare for this event. Without a doubt it couldn’t have been done without all those who trained, supported, and coached us. This was an individual event but it took a team effort. Thanks to everyone.
The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle.
Hell yeah Donald.
Congrats to all competitors. Looking great. I truly miss training with you all, and I wish I could’ve been on those mats with you.
It was another awesome event put on by the folks from Impact BJJ. Great vibe, great competitors, and I thought all of our atheletes represented our academy very well. I know I had a blast.
