New Class Schedule for 2011
I’m excited about some of the new changes at the Academy, especially in regards to the class schedule.
All lunch classes will remain, but evening classes will move 1 hour earlier from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays will move to 7 p.m. We’ve done away with the Friday afternoon classes, and Saturday class now starts at 11 a.m. This Monday will be the first 6 p.m. class!
The new equipment for attendance tracking has shipped, and students will soon be able to look online, and ahead of time, what is being taught in each class, and by whom. I’m looking to leverage these technologies for a deeper and more detailed experience at RDA.
Cool - that should prove useful. The instructor at Gracie Barra Bristol sends a text message to everyone the night before class detailing what is going to be taught, so I’ll be interested to hear how a more hi-tech version works out.t

Does that mean I am going to have to learn how to use a computer when I get back? JK. Sounds like a great plan and I do like the idea of earlier evening classes.

Hey Roy, you didn’t put down anything about the Saturday class. You said it was going to be at 11:00, right? Is that a for sure thing?

I like the idea of using technology to enhance the learning experience; however, sometimes the unknown keeps people coming. I use a spreadsheet to track techniques practiced and time spent and find it useful for balacing my growth. It works well for me but might not work for everyone. Curious to know how it works out for everyone

I’m a little confused. It says that all lunch classes will remain, but you’ve done away with the Friday afternoon class. Is the Friday class that has been cancelled one that is later in the day, or do you mean the 12:15 class? Thanks!!
