Mississippi Seminar 2011
Fantastic weekend in Southhaven, Mississippi with the TNT martial arts crew. Alan and his wife Demitra were perfect hosts, and I continue to get to know him and his students better with every trip. Alan Hopkins brown belt Brian Clark came down again to help with the blue belt testing of Anwin Matthews, in addition to serving as uke on Saturday. I also had the distinct pleasure of awarding Amy Word with her purple belt. I knew she had made strides in her jiu jitsu since transferring to Alan’s academy, but I was still unexpectedly impressed with her game, and promoted her at the very end of the seminar.
The progress at TNT Martial Arts is steady, and the future looks very bright. Thanks again to Alan and Demitra Shade for the Southern hospitality.
