HMA Seminar 2012
Had a fantastic time in Medford at Higinbotham Martial Arts (HMA). Byron and his lovely wife were perfect hosts, and I was able to share some of my techniques in a 3 hour Saturday seminar for 28 students. Lotus Club had a several talented guys attend, and I was also able to evaluate a few HMA members on their progress to blue belt. Byron has a really unique facility with both Parkour and BJJ available, and I see a very bright future for that club. I look forward to my next visit and thank all that attended for their attention.

I like to think of this as related to “The Spirals of Jiu Jitsu”. A cousin, slightly more positive, and also the last chapter in Disc 1 of Brown Belt Requirements. Remember, it’s not about doing it. It’s how you do it. After all, this is your personal expression.

Shane Bishop: BJJ Blue Belt
Please help me in congratulating Shane Bishop on an excellent blue belt demonstration. It was also a milestone for Mavericks BJJ, as this is their first colored belt promotion.
