A masterful film on every level.  The guidance of Professor Moura and the storytelling of Stuart Cooper are a special combination. Study on this.

Please help me in congratulating Shane Bishop on an excellent blue belt demonstration.  It was also a milestone for Mavericks BJJ, as this is their first colored belt promotion.

On a side note, all the songs in this video are from “Extended Meditations” which will be included in the Brown Belt Requirements DVD set.  Bravo!

London, Ontario Seminar

0 Comments, Posted by: Roy Dean in: Seminars

Had a fantastic adventure in London, Ontario this weekend.  I was fortunate enough to be brought out Harris International Member Vivek Nath, and the Western Jiu Jitsu club for a 2 day seminar.  The journey started a bit rough, waking up at 4 a.m. and heading to the airport, only to find out that my flight out of Chicago had been cancelled.  In order to make it to London by the seminar start time of 11 a.m. the next day, I flew the red eye into Toronto, and arrived in London at 9:45 the next morning.  Very little sleep, but I still feel I was effective in imparting details on the triangle choke and armlock.  The next day was Q and A and ended with a more conceptual overview of the progression in BJJ.  A variety of clubs came out for the event and the vibe over the weekend was exceptionally positive.

Special thanks to V for being such a great host, and to all that made their way out.  London was a cool, fashionable town, and I look forward to returning one day in the future.

Congratulation to Byron
